By creating an account or using ActSciAI (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and ThinkActuary (Pty) Ltd ("ActSciAI", "we", "us").
ActSciAI is an AI-assisted exam preparation platform for South African actuarial examinations. The Platform provides:
Important: ActSciAI is an independent study tool. AI-generated marks and feedback are indicative only and do not constitute official examination results.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use ActSciAI. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms.
To ensure fair access and manage service costs, the Platform applies daily usage limits per account:
Limits reset at midnight (SAST). We reserve the right to adjust these limits. Attempting to circumvent limits through automation or multiple accounts will result in account suspension.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY SOUTH AFRICAN LAW, ACTSCIAI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
AI-generated feedback, marks, and explanations are generated by machine learning models and may contain errors. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThinkActuary (Pty) Ltd's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for material breach of these terms, with immediate effect. You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your access to the Platform ceases and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act.
We may modify these terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide 14 days' notice by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
